Re-installing the Sync Server

New versions of the Sync Server are occasionally released. When this occurs,

you’ll need to uninstall the existing version of the Sync Server, and install the new

version.

To install the latest version of the Sync Server, follow these steps:

1. Open and run the existing version of the Sync Server.

2. Go to page 3 of the Sync Server.

3. Click Stop Service, and then Delete Service.

4. Close the Sync Server application.

5. From your computer's Control Panel, uninstall the Sync Server.

6. Download and install the new installer file GoogleMessageContinuity.msi

from the following URL:

http://dl.google.com/google-message-continuity/

googlemessagecontinuity.msi

Follow the instructions in “2. Download and run the installer file” on page 26.

7. Run the new version of the Sync server.

8. Verify the settings on "Step 1 of 2: Configure the Continuity Sync Server" (in

the Sync Server UI).

9. On "Step 2 of 2: Configure Service, click Create Service.

10. Click Start Service.
